MTN Snapshots Welcomes You
Thanks for visiting my site. I am Rob Moore and have been doing photography for several years now and love the new challenges given to me in life every day. I am a veteran and support the troops totally and unconditionally. My photography is an extention of my eye and what I see so I love to pass it to the viewer.

Wildlife Photography - Domestic Animals
This otter looks like he's smiling but it is actually soaking up some sun. After this cold winter it is probably welcome. You can view more of these animals by traveling to Grandfather Mountain or just go to my gallery here to view these guys and the other animals at this location.
Outdoor/Scenery Photography
The mountains of western North Carolina have so much to offer the photographer and that's the top reason I have firmly planted my home in this part of the state. This year I have pledged to myself to do more hiking and going to the special places in this area to collect shots for the viewers. Please check back to see where I have been this summer.
The image above is often one that's overlooked because most everyone is looking out, or forward, while traveling on the mile high bridge atop Grandfather. As you can see it is a mile high at this point and the wind blows like you won't believe. Vist if you get the chance and see for yourself. Event Photography - Sports Photography
Shooting events are a treat, especially when it includes the Harlem Globetrotters, and some are very special to the people putting them on. If you need a photographer please consider contacting me for the event. My specialties are festivals, bands and sporting events.
The Harlem Globetrotters had a great show at the Holmes Convocation Center on March 16, 2010.

Music on the Mountaintop
Keller the One Man Show
Music on the Mountaintop in Boone, NC is still going on with one more day Saturday. You missed a great performance by Keller Williams, shown above, and his one man band show. Just pure talent. Sam Bush, Do It To Julia, Larry Keel, and others slated for Satuday. Come on out!
Watauga Pioneer Football 2010
Watauga's Defense was real stingy. Ashe couldn't move the ball and that goose egg on the scoreboard, well, it tells the story. The gallery will be up to view and you can go here to see the images from week to week. GO PIONEERS!
Midnight Madness at Watauga
The 2010 season is underway and Watauga gets a motivational visit from head coach Jerry Moore of the Mountaineers. Midnight Madness was started last year and gives the players an opportunity to have a cool practice, as well as provide an opportunity for the family and fans to see them practice. Good luck Watauga!
Our favorite Uncle Bill was climbing the old apple tree, bucket and all, ready to collect apples for a pie or applesauce when he literally came face to face with this hornets nest. It wasn't long before he was out of the tree and on the ground. It was so fast, as I was told, that he didn't remember how he got down so fast. I would have moved like speed racer myself.
The 5th Annual Tater Hill Open started their races this Sunday, Aug. 1 with 50 participants and great weather. It was a treat to hang out at 5000 feet and see these canopies spread open and fly. This will be happening all week so get up there and see for yourself. You can even do a tandem flight if you feel the urge to fly. Go here for all images.
