Blue Ridge Parkway in N.C.

The most-visited national park has several miles to view but one of the most visited is right here in our backyard. The 469-mile roadway runs through western North Carolina to Virginia, following mountaintops and features some spectacular, all-season scenic views, and recreational resources.

Rocky Knob Park

The county's first mountain bike trail park opened May 1, 2011 with Phase I of the trail system functional. Since then the park has opened Phase II, and Phase III is under construction. Boone Area Cyclists are to thank for the biking trails and they are fun to ride.
